Ringing of the Bell
Call to Worship: Psalm 34
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints,
for those who fear him have no lack!
The young lions suffer want and hunger;
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
Come, O children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
What man is there who desires life
and loves many days, that he may see good?
Keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from speaking deceit.
Turn away from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.
The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry.
Leader— This is the word of the Lord
Congregation— Thanks be to God
Song of Praise: All Who are Thirsty
All who are thirsty,
All who are weak
Come to the fountain,
Dip your heart in the stream of life
Let the pain and the sorrow, Be washed away
In the waves of his mercy, As deep cries out in deep
(We Sing)
Come Lord Jesus come
Come Lord Jesus come
Come Lord Jesus come
Come Lord Jesus come
All who are thirsty,
All who are weak
Come to the fountain,
Dip your heart in the stream of life
Let the pain and the sorrow,
Be washed away
In the waves of his mercy, As deep cries out in deep
Holy Spirit come
Holy Spirit come
Holy Spirit come.
Holy Spirit come.

Greeting Time
“Savior like a Shepherd Lead Us” (#462)
Savior, like a shepherd lead us,
Much we need Thy tender care;
In Thy pleasant pastures feed us,
For our use Thy folds prepare:
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,
Thou hast bought us, Thine we are;
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,
Thou hast bought us, Thine we are.
Early let us seek Thy favor,
Early let us do Thy will;
Blessed Lord and only Savior,
With Thy love our bosoms fill:
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,
Thou hast loved us, love us still;
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,
Thou hast loved us, love us still.
“What a Friend We Have in Jesus” (#435)
What a friend we have in Jesus,
all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
all because we do not carry
everything to God in prayer!
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a friend so faithful
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
take it to the Lord in prayer!
“Forever”
Give thanks to the Lord, Our God and King
His love endures forever
For He is good, He is above all things
His love endures forever, Sing praise, sing praise
With a mighty hand and outstretched arm
His love endures forever
For the life that's been reborn, His love endures forever
Sing praise, sing praise, sing praise, sing praise
Forever God is faithful, Forever God is strong
Forever God is with us, Forever
From the rising to the setting sun
His love endures forever
By the grace of God, we will carry on
His love endures forever
Sing praise, sing praise, sing praise, sing praise
Forever God is faithful, Forever God is strong
Forever God is with us. Forever, Forever

Prayer of Thanksgiving
Response through Giving:
Congregation— For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you by His poverty might become rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9)
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)
Lord’s Prayer: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Pastoral Prayer
Commission (Matthew 28)
Pastor: And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
Congregation: We will!
Benediction
Pastor: And Jesus said, behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Congregation: Amen!
Closing Song: Take the Name of Jesus with You
Worship Opportunities
We would love to involve more members during our Sunday Service. If you or someone in your family are a member and would be interested in serving, we have several opportunities: Read Scripture, pray, pass out offering plates, pass out bulletins before service. Or maybe you have another idea? Feel free to reach out to Micah or Doug.
Heads Up
Church Workday: August 31, 9am. We will have a church workday, tackling several areas but specifically working on our playground. God has blessed us with children recently and we want to steward this blessing well.
Church Library: For several months, I've been working on building a church library (through Thrift Store finds) so that we can provide quality books from trusted authors. This Sunday (and every Sunday from now on) you can check out our Book Cart and check out a book.
You can keep the book for as long as you like. Whenever you finish it, return the book to the cart and check out another. Its all free.
We have 2 books with multiple copies so you can check them out and read with a friend, spouse, etc. (Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis & Church Membership by Jonathan Leeman)
We have a few paper Bibles that if you or someone you know needs a copy, feel free to take and give it away.
We also have some bibles (One Gospel reader, a Romans illustrated) that is meant to take notes in. I would love for us to have people throughout the years check these out, write notes and highlight verses, and pass it down for the next member to do the same.
There is even a section of books of my personal recommendations.
And, we have the cutest librarian who will be happy to help with anything and to check you out.
Opportunity to Help
Many of you know Austin Mcgann who gave his life to Christ a few weeks back. He reached out to me about a friend of his, Kayla Taylor, who is having a hard time. I told Austin I would pass her story along and that you could give as you felt led—but I ask everyone to pray for Kayla and her family and her doctors.
